James William Rudkin

James William Rudkin Passed away 3rd January 2019 Aged 94

Jim had been living in Somerset with his Daughter, Norma, for some years and his memorial service was held in Bath.

As a few of his many friends could not attend, Egerton Park CC is remembering Jim on Sunday 26th May from 11:00 a.m.

It was his wish, that his Ashes be brought to Egerton Park.

Norma and Members of his Family will accompany them.

At 11:45 there will be a time for friends to give their memories of Jim followed by a buffet lunch.

EPCC Sunday XI with be playing Barkby CC from 2:00p.m, so there will be no need to rush away.

Jim had a lifelong passion for cricket, and Egerton Park in particular.

Many of us will remember “His ‘A’ Team” of the 60’s & 70’s and of him serving as Chairman, President and 10 years as 100 club Secretary.

During this time, he raised £1000’s for the club and we wish to create a lasting memorial to him.

We have a project to bring our Scorebox up to date, by installing Electronic Operation and will be using the bequest left to the Club by Jim towards that end.

We will have to raise additional monies to fund it and know that many of his friends would like to contribute to his memory.

If you wish to do so, there are several ways:

A cheque made out to Egerton Park C. C. sent to the address below,

By BACS to EPCC bank details- JWR account    40 – 32 – 14 31516493

Just Giving.

We intend to have the system installed by 26th May and to have it dedicated to Jim on that day.
